Willow - Year 6

Welcome to Willow Class

Image result for heart

Our topic has been ‘Blood Heart’ this term. We have learnt about the heart and the circulatory system. We have worked hard to write an explanation about how the heart works which was quite challenging. We have learnt about what is in blood and identified that there are different blood types. As a result, we have learnt a lot of new scientific vocabulary. In English, we have been reading a book called ‘Pig Heart Boy’ and we have used this book to help us write newspaper reports, diary entries, discussion texts and character descriptions. In maths, we have been practising our calculating skills and applying these skills to reasoning and problem solving questions.

We have worked really hard throughout the term!

Well done year 6!
