What do the Governors do?

Governors hold the school to account for the quality of education and care they provide.

They receive information about school performance and check that the school is making improvements identified by Ofsted and the Local Authority.

Governors at Marden Lodge meet each half term.

Who are the Governors?

Governors are volunteers. Some Governors are professional people who use their skills and expertise to support the school.

The Governing Body is made up of parents, staff, members of the community and people who are chosen by the GLF Schools. Details of current governors can be found through the GLF Schools Register of Interests tab.

Our current Governors are:-

Why might I want to contact the Governors?

Where a concern or a complaint has been discussed with the Head Teacher but parents are not satisfied with the outcome they may wish to contact the Chair of Governors to take the matter further.

How can I contact the Governors?

Both Mrs Wainwright (the Clerk to the Governors) and Mr T Rogers (Chair of the Governing Body) can be contacted through the School Office or by emailing

Governors also try to attend school events to be available for informal discussions.
